About

Shacklewell Architects was set up in 2013 by Sara Moody, a RIBA Chartered residential architect with more than a decade's experience in the capital.

Prior to setting up Shacklewell Architects, Sara worked for a high-end residential practice in Richmond, where she was able to focus her skills on working for homeowners, having previously experienced the rigour and process-driven high standards of large scale architectural practice at BDP.

At Shacklewell Architects we work with Londoners across the city to create unique homes, designed for living. We spend time getting to know you and your home to understand your space in the city and how it can work for you.

We specialise in transforming traditional London houses for modern living. Our work includes new buildings, extensions, conversions, full refurbishments and more.

Sara

Architect, Founder and Director

Sara is a fully qualified Architect with 15 years' experience in the London residential sector.

She founded the practice in 2013 to focus on her passion for adapting London homes for modern living.

Matt

Senior Architectural Technologist

Matt is an experienced Architectural Technician specialising in building regulations and detailed design.

He is particularly interested in sound and architecture, having designed studios for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

Marianne

Senior Architectural Assistant / Interior Designer

Marianne joined Shacklewell Architects as an architectural assistant in 2014.

She is also a qualified interior designer with a keen eye for materials and finishes.

Anthony

Architect

Anthony is a qualified architect and has worked in Switzerland, Portugal, Ukraine and the UK.

He specialises in 3D visualisation

Ben

Associate Director

Ben is our co-founder and works as the strategy and commercial lead.

He has a background in economics and worked for a large management consultancy before joining NHSX in a senior commercial role.

Jonny

Associate

Jonny joined the team in 2026, having spent fifteen years in large-scale commercial and retrofit work.

Jonny leads on all stages of projects and has a particular interest in sustainability.
