There was already a side-return extension at this Victorian Villa in Clapton, which was full of charm and character but not particularly habitable when our client approached us to design an new extension to replace the old one.

The brief was not to create the commonly asked for large open-plan kitchen, living, dinig space but instead to maintain a clear distinction between the original parts of the building and the extended area.
